A.J. Greer has scored three goals on four shots across his last two games. If you’re backing a Ducks win over Buffalo, his two-shot offer asks for the smaller contribution without requiring another goal. These Ducks parlay picks compare that recent shooting run with Cutter Gauthier’s longer history and an assist under from the opposing team’s Josh Doan.
This Side & Support Parlay Plays edition starts with a hypothetical Anaheim win. The Ducks are 5–6–1 after a 6–5 loss to Vancouver; the Sabres are 5–4–3 after beating San Jose 2–0. The choices below look at Anaheim players in Ducks wins and Doan in Buffalo losses, so you can compare the type of contribution, the price and the strength of the history before choosing your own route.
Ducks parlay picks: compare the supporting options
Gauthier and Greer both need two shots, but their prices and samples are far apart. Gauthier has 99 eligible Ducks appearances in the researched window; Greer has 11, all from this season. Doan’s assist under provides a different type of option from the opposing team. It allows him to score a goal, provided he does not assist on another.
The records below cover each player’s appearances for his current club across the 2025–26 and current 2026–27 seasons, including playoffs where applicable, through the latest completed games. Greer’s Anaheim history is entirely from this season. Each all-game comparison uses the same period and club as its win or loss record.
Individual DraftKings prices were checked this evening and can change. These are options to compare with the Ducks premise, rather than a quoted combined parlay or a requirement to use all three. Greer’s four winning appearances are a particularly small sample.
| Player & prop | Odds | With this result | All games |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cutter Gauthier 2+ shots on goal |
−700 | 92.3% 48 of 52 ANA wins |
87.9% 87 of 99 ANA appearances |
| A.J. Greer 2+ shots on goal |
+125 | 100.0% 4 of 4 ANA wins |
63.6% 7 of 11 ANA appearances |
| Josh Doan Under 0.5 assists |
−330 | 86.7% 39 of 45 BUF losses |
72.0% 77 of 107 BUF appearances |
Cutter Gauthier: 2+ shots on goal at −700
Gauthier put at least two shots on net in 48 of 52 Ducks wins (92.3%), compared with 87 of 99 Anaheim appearances overall (87.9%). That longer club history is the main reason to distinguish his two-shot option from Greer’s. The price is short, however: −700 offers limited return for adding another possible miss to a ticket.
The recent record needs a closer look than the 92.3% headline alone. Gauthier has reached two shots in only three of Anaheim’s five wins this season, and nine of 11 appearances overall. Two of the four winning-sample misses therefore occurred this month. He had one shot against Winnipeg in 18:20, then none against Calgary in a shortened 2:18 appearance. That shortened Calgary appearance still counts in the history.
Since that abbreviated Calgary appearance, he has recorded at least two shots in six straight appearances, with totals of four, five, two, two, four and four. The latest four came against Vancouver in 16:28, and he also had an assist. That supplies recent participation and shooting context while preserving the earlier misses. The other two winning-sample misses were one shot in the November 2, 2025 win over New Jersey and none in the December 7, 2025 win over Chicago.
DraftKings offered 3+ shots at −245. Gauthier reached three in 37 of the same 52 wins and 65 of 99 appearances overall. Both current thresholds have landed in three of the five wins, but his two-shot games against the Islanders and Devils show the extra demand can matter even within his current run. Compare the price with the actual threshold; the two-shot winning record does not apply to the three-shot market.
A.J. Greer: 2+ shots on goal at +125
Greer recorded at least two shots in all four Ducks wins in which he appeared, compared with seven of his 11 Anaheim appearances overall (63.6%). The +125 price makes this a very different choice from Gauthier at −700, but four winning appearances are a narrow foundation. The 100.0% conditional figure describes those four games, not all Anaheim wins or a forecast for tonight.
His winning-game shot totals were four against Vegas, two against Florida, two against Winnipeg and two against Philadelphia. He then put two shots on net against Vancouver and scored on both, over 15:02 of ice time. In the preceding Philadelphia game, he scored once on two shots in 11:00. The shooting requirement is the relevant part of that recent run; another two-goal performance is not needed for this leg.
The same 11-game history contains four misses at the two-shot threshold. Greer had one shot against Edmonton and one against Calgary, then went shotless against the Islanders and Devils while playing 12:09 and 13:20. He even recorded an assist in the Islanders game without putting a shot on net. A point or a normal shift load therefore does not ensure this shooting leg succeeds.
The nearby 1+ shot offer was −330. It has the same four-for-four winning record but a different overall baseline: nine of 11 appearances, rather than seven. Moving down a shot would rescue the one-shot Edmonton and Calgary games while leaving the two zeroes unchanged. That is a useful tradeoff to compare, particularly if the four-game conditional sample feels too limited to support the higher requirement.
Josh Doan: Under 0.5 assists at −330
Doan finished without an assist in 39 of 45 Buffalo losses (86.7%), versus 77 of 107 Sabres appearances overall (72.0%). His current-season record is six of seven losses and 11 of 12 appearances overall. This gives Ducks backers a supporting option that does not require another Anaheim player to shoot or score.
The exact statistic matters. Doan scored in the October 24 loss at Washington while recording no assists. His assist under succeeded despite the goal; a point under would not. Across the matched longer history, he was pointless in 32 of the 45 losses and 58 of 107 appearances overall. This season, five of Buffalo’s seven defeats left him without a point, compared with six without an assist.
Doan’s expected second-line place with Noah Ostlund and Jack Quinn is a projected assignment rather than a guarantee. In the latest game at San Jose, he played 15:49, put one shot on net and had no points. His only current-season assist came in the October 17 loss at Montreal, when he played 15:14. That miss remains in the losing subset rather than being explained away by the game result.
The longer history also includes playoff misses in consecutive games against Montreal on May 8 and May 10, 2026. Doan had an assist in each defeat, over 16:28 and 15:32. Those examples show that even a comfortable opponent win can contain the helper that defeats this under. The case is the observed losing-game consistency and the narrow request, not a claim that a Ducks win prevents Buffalo from completing an assisted goal.
Compare the price, the request and the sample
Gauthier supplies the broader two-shot history, with two recent winning misses that deserve attention despite his current run. Greer offers the same shooting threshold at a positive price, backed by only four winning appearances and a much lower all-game rate. Choosing between those profiles can be more useful than automatically taking both.
Doan’s assist under adds a different type of option, but all three still share the same game environment. A busy Anaheim shooting night does not settle the moneyline, and Doan can assist in a Buffalo loss. Use the current offers to decide which, if any, fits your Ducks position. The separate records don’t establish a combined chance of success, and the sportsbook can adjust the price of related legs.
