Product and ratings
What is Sharpest Bets?
Sharpest Bets is a sports betting analysis platform. It compares proprietary game projections with sportsbook markets, then organizes the results into betting boards, value ratings, and detailed matchup views so you can evaluate opportunities more efficiently.
How are the projections created?
The models evaluate available team, opponent, player, and game-context data to estimate likely outcomes. Those projections are then compared with current market lines. The exact model inputs and weighting are proprietary.
What does a 1-to-5-star rating mean?
The star rating describes the model-assessed value of a specific betting opportunity at the evaluated line. More stars indicate a stronger difference between the model and the market—not greater certainty and never a guaranteed result.
What is the difference between star ratings and letter grades?
Star ratings evaluate a bet at its current market price. Letter grades describe the underlying quality of a team or key player. A highly graded team does not automatically make every available bet on that team a strong value.
Are Sharpest Bets picks guaranteed to win?
No. Every projection is an estimate, and sports outcomes are uncertain. Sharpest Bets is designed to provide structured information for your own decision-making, not guaranteed winners or financial advice.
Coverage and updates
Which sports and markets are covered?
Sharpest Bets covers NFL, college football, MLB, NBA, NHL, and men’s college basketball, with rated side and total markets where supported. Available leagues and market types may change as the product expands.
How often are projections and sportsbook lines updated?
Projections and market information refresh as new source data and sportsbook prices become available. Because lines can move quickly, always confirm the current price at your sportsbook before making a decision.
Why might the line on Sharpest Bets differ from my sportsbook?
Sportsbook prices move throughout the day and can vary by operator. Sharpest Bets shows the line and price observed for its analysis; a different current line can materially change the value of the opportunity.
Does Sharpest Bets place wagers or hold betting funds?
No. Sharpest Bets provides analysis and information only. It is not a sportsbook, does not accept wagers, and does not hold or transfer betting funds.
