Walker Kessler had nine rebounds and Al Horford four when the Lakers beat Golden State 127–105 in the opener. Luka Doncic added seven assists. If you’re backing another Los Angeles win, that game gives you a starting point for comparing the three lines below.
Kessler’s rebound under, Horford’s four boards and Doncic’s six assists ask for different contributions. Doncic missed Wednesday with back tightness, so his availability comes first before weighing the lower passing line.
Three supporting options to compare
The table covers last season and this season with each player’s current club, including the playoffs. Doncic and Kessler are shown in Lakers wins; Horford in Warriors losses. The overall records use the same periods. Kessler has just five Lakers games.
| Player & prop | Odds | With this result | All games |
|---|---|---|---|
| Luka Doncic 6+ assists |
−432 | 84.8% 39 of 46 LAL wins |
83.8% 57 of 68 appearances |
| Al Horford 4+ rebounds |
−114 | 84.6% 22 of 26 GS losses |
72.5% 37 of 51 appearances |
| Walker Kessler Under 9.5 rebounds |
+106 | 100.0% 4 of 4 LAL wins |
100.0% 5 of 5 appearances |
Luka Doncic: 6+ assists at −432
Doncic has finished with seven, seven, ten and nine assists in his four games this season. He’s started each one and played 30–38 minutes, clearing six every time.
His 35.5-minute average is close to the older 35.8 with Los Angeles. The opener against Golden State brought seven assists, while his nine came in the Lakers’ only loss. The passing can get there even when Los Angeles doesn’t win.
Dropping the line costs quite a bit. Eight assists at −136 covered 28 of 46 Lakers wins and 40 of 68 appearances overall, and only two of his four games this season. Six at −432 leaves room for another seven-assist night, at a much heavier price.
Doncic missed the latest Clippers game with back tightness. Friday morning’s injury list didn’t name him, but that isn’t confirmation he’ll play or start. Check his final status and expected minutes before considering this line.
Al Horford: 4+ rebounds at −114
Horford’s four rebound totals this season are four, five, three and five. Four boards has been more common in Warriors losses than in his Golden State games overall, making him a player on the other side to consider alongside your Lakers view.
The two Warriors losses in those games brought four and five rebounds. He had four in 17 minutes against the Lakers, including three defensive boards; the latest five came in 18 minutes, with two offensive rebounds.
He doesn’t get much time to find them. Horford has played 17–19 minutes a game, averaging 18.3 rather than the older 21.7. His three-board game, in a Warriors win, missed the line. Even four can be a lot to ask during a short bench shift.
Three rebounds at −247 covered 42 of 51 games overall, against 37 at four. Both had the same 22 hits in 26 Warriors losses. Four at −114 pays more, but leaves less protection if another short shift ends with three boards.
Walker Kessler: under 9.5 rebounds at +106
Kessler has stayed below ten rebounds in each of his five Lakers games: nine, eight, seven, eight and nine. That includes all four wins. It’s the whole Lakers sample here, so five early hits are all you have to go on.
These haven’t been cameo appearances. He’s started each game and played 26–35 minutes, with eight boards in 35 minutes against the Clippers and nine in 26 in the latest game.
Two of those games finished on nine, including the Golden State opener in 30 minutes. One more rebound would have beaten the under in either, so the perfect record hasn’t always had much breathing room.
Under 9.5 at +106 offers the largest payout of the three. You’re asking Kessler to stay out of double figures again, with only five games of Lakers history and two already close to the limit.
Choosing your Lakers parlay picks
If you prefer the longer club record, compare Horford’s three- and four-rebound prices against his short bench shifts. Kessler’s under pays more but has much less history behind it. Doncic’s lower assist line costs the most, and his back status needs settling before the rest of that comparison matters.
The opener showed these totals can fit alongside a Lakers win. It didn’t tell us the chance of all three happening together, or what a sportsbook would charge for that combination.
