Zach Werenski assisted on Columbus’s only goal in its win over the Rangers, then supplied two assists in the Blue Jackets’ 7–2 win over Colorado. A point from the defenseman has fit very different kinds of Columbus victories. That makes him the place to begin if you’re backing the Blue Jackets to beat Dallas.
For these Blue Jackets parlay picks, we compare Werenski’s contributions in Columbus wins with two Dallas players’ production in Stars losses. Thomas Harley’s points under and Roope Hintz’s assists under offer different ways to put limits on Dallas’s scoring contributions. You can back the Columbus contribution, one of the Dallas limits, or choose your own combination.
Blue Jackets parlay picks: a point and two opposing unders
| Player & prop | Odds | With this result | All games |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zach Werenski Over 0.5 points |
−165 | 86.8% 33 of 38 CBJ wins |
66.3% 55 of 83 appearances |
| Thomas Harley Under 0.5 points |
−150 | 87.9% 29 of 33 DAL losses |
60.0% 48 of 80 appearances |
| Roope Hintz Under 0.5 assists |
−210 | 88.5% 23 of 26 DAL losses |
65.1% 41 of 63 appearances |
Zach Werenski: Over 0.5 points
Werenski can contribute without Columbus needing a big scoring night. The Rangers win is a good example, while his two assists against Colorado show the room for more when the offense opens up. He also had an assist in the recent 3–1 loss to Dallas, so the last meeting didn’t keep him off the scoresheet.
The longer comparison is encouraging, and this season he has a point in five of the Blue Jackets’ six wins. The exception matters: Columbus beat Vegas 2–1 while Werenski went pointless despite three shots on goal. He can be involved and still miss the scoring contribution this bet needs.
DraftKings had his point over at −165 and his assist over at −110. The point option leaves a goal as another way to get there, but his points this season have all come through assists. You’re paying extra for that additional scoring route, rather than getting a better current-season hit record.
Thomas Harley: Under 0.5 points
Harley has gone without a point in every Dallas defeat this season, but his latest games are a useful challenge to the under. He scored against Columbus in the last meeting, then had two assists in the Stars’ 6–5 win at Washington. A quiet scoring night isn’t something to assume just because he plays defense.
Harley’s longer record gives that argument more backing than his all-game scoring history does. The recent defeats against New Jersey and Montreal both ended without a point, adding current support to the split in the table.
At −150, the points under pays more than his assists under at −200, but a Harley goal also beats it. His goal in the last meeting makes that tradeoff particularly clear. Miro Heiskanen is listed day-to-day with an upper-body injury, so Dallas’s defensive assignments could also change around Harley.
Roope Hintz: Under 0.5 assists
Hintz gives you a narrower request than holding a Dallas player without a point: he can score a goal and this under can still work. He did just that in a loss to Colorado earlier this season, finishing with a goal and no assist.
He hasn’t recorded an assist in any of the Stars’ six defeats this season, compared with 11 of 15 appearances overall. That supports the longer losing-game pattern, but Tuesday’s two assists against Washington are a timely reminder that his passing can still be productive. This isn’t a bet on a player who has stopped creating goals.
The −210 price is the heaviest of these three options. His own goals don’t affect an assists-only under, but any credited assist beats it. If that restriction doesn’t offer enough payout for your view of the game, Harley’s cheaper points under asks a different question.
Build around the Columbus contribution you expect
Werenski is the direct route if you expect Columbus’s defenseman to help produce the winning offense. If you prefer to focus on Dallas, choose between holding Harley off the scoresheet and allowing Hintz to score while keeping him without an assist.
There’s no need to take both Dallas unders. They share exposure to the Stars’ offense, and separate historical rates don’t establish the chance of a combined result. Follow the live Stars–Blue Jackets matchup, or explore more NHL parlay ideas.
