Dylan Holloway didn’t need a shot on goal to help St. Louis beat Boston last week: he recorded an assist in the 4–1 win. That’s a useful distinction if you’re backing the Blues in New Jersey. His passing has contributed to six of their seven wins this season, including games when his shooting volume stayed low.
These Blues parlay picks start with that Holloway assist option, then look at two different limits on New Jersey’s scoring leaders. For that St. Louis-win view, we compare Holloway’s assists in Blues wins with Nico Hischier’s and Jack Hughes’s scoring in Devils losses. You can choose the contribution—or quieter night—that best fits your view of a Blues win.
Blues parlay picks: Holloway’s passing and two Devils unders
The records below cover this season’s completed regular-season appearances with each player’s current club. Seven St. Louis wins and five New Jersey losses are small samples; each all-game comparison uses the same dates and participation rules.
| Player & prop | Odds | With this result | All games |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dylan Holloway Over 0.5 assists |
+225 | 85.7% 6 of 7 STL wins |
46.7% 7 of 15 appearances |
| Nico Hischier Under 0.5 points |
+105 | 100.0% 5 of 5 NJ losses |
53.3% 8 of 15 appearances |
| Jack Hughes Under 1.5 points |
−190 | 100.0% 5 of 5 NJ losses |
60.0% 9 of 15 appearances |
Dylan Holloway: Over 0.5 assists
Holloway followed his assist against Boston with another in the 5–4 win at Detroit. He finished those games with zero and one shot on goal, respectively. His expected first-line spot makes the passing option easy to understand: he can help a scoring play without being the player who shoots.
DraftKings offered the assist over at +225, compared with +115 for him to record any point. In the current seven-win sample, those two bets have succeeded in exactly the same six games. The point price buys protection against a goal-only contribution, though, and his goal without an assist in the October 15 loss at Minnesota shows that distinction in practice.
His latest game was a reminder that activity doesn’t guarantee a point: five shots and no goal or assist in Tuesday’s loss to the Rangers. The current winning-game pattern is also much stronger than his longer St. Louis record—an assist in 20 of 36 wins and 29 of 74 appearances since October 1, 2025. The +225 price comes with that narrow passing requirement and a much less convincing older comparison.
Nico Hischier: Under 0.5 points
Hischier has gone without a point in each Devils loss this season, but he’s still been getting shots away. He had three in the loss at Colorado and three in the earlier defeat to the Islanders. This under asks those opportunities to stay off the scoresheet; it doesn’t depend on him being uninvolved.
The +105 point under costs less than his assists-only under at −205, with an important extra way to lose: a Hischier goal. He scored twice in New Jersey’s 5–1 win at Dallas and added an assist in Tuesday’s win over Edmonton. His expected first-line role leaves plenty of room for a contribution even if you like St. Louis.
Five losses are far from a guarantee that he goes quiet when the Devils lose. Since October 1, 2025, he has been pointless in 31 of 45 New Jersey losses and 48 of 97 appearances overall. That broader record challenges the perfect early-season mark and makes this a specific scoring opinion at a plus-money price.
Jack Hughes: Under 1.5 points
Hughes offers more room than Hischier: he can score or assist once and still finish under. He did exactly that in the Devils’ losses to Utah and Ottawa this season. You’re asking him to stay short of a multi-point game, rather than disappear from the scoring.
That room costs more at −190. His recent production makes the risk clear: Hughes scored twice at Vegas, then followed with two goals and an assist against Edmonton. Those were Devils wins, but they show how quickly he can turn an active night into more than one point. He put five shots on goal in a loss to Utah, too, so a New Jersey defeat doesn’t remove his opportunities.
Of these three options, his losing-game record holds up best over the longer comparison. Since October 1, 2025, he has stayed below two points in 26 of 32 Devils losses and 46 of 76 appearances overall. It still failed six times in those losses. One point is still enough for this under; his recent multi-point games show why that extra room matters.

Decide how much scoring room you want
Holloway’s assist is the more narrowly defined St. Louis contribution, while the Devils choices let you decide how much opposing production to allow. Hischier must finish without a point for the +105 under; Hughes can contribute once, but his −190 price gives back some payout for that room.
You don’t need both Devils unders. They share New Jersey’s scoring environment, and their separate records don’t establish a combined probability.
