Scottie Barnes scored 41 points against Orlando on Friday, but that big night included just one three-pointer and five rebounds. Those details matter if you’re backing Toronto in Los Angeles: Barnes can do plenty of scoring without making multiple threes, while a six-rebound target still asks for more than he supplied in that loss.
The premise for these Raptors parlay picks is a hypothetical Toronto moneyline win, quoted at +124 by DraftKings at 9:27 a.m. EST on November 1. Toronto visits the Lakers at crypto.com Arena on Sunday, November 1, at 9 p.m. EST. The Raptors arrive 3–2 against Los Angeles’ 4–2. The options below compare Jamal Shead’s assists with two different parts of Barnes’s game, leaving you free to choose which fits your view of a Toronto win.

The records cover last season and this season with Toronto, including postseason games and appearances with limited minutes. Each all-game baseline uses the same club, dates and participation rules as its Toronto-win record. Games without an appearance aren’t counted, and genuine zeroes remain. The individual DraftKings prices are November 1 snapshots and can change.
Jamal Shead: 4+ assists (−278)
Shead needed 16 minutes to hand out five assists in Toronto’s opening win over Chicago. He followed with five in 24 minutes against Washington and seven in 23 minutes in the first Orlando game. That is a useful starting point for a bench guard whose four-assist target has been more frequent in Toronto wins than across his whole record.
Friday’s eight assists in 23 minutes against Orlando are useful support, even though Toronto lost. They also show this target doesn’t require a winning result. The recent warning came in the loss to Minnesota: Shead played 21 minutes without an assist. Getting onto the floor for a normal bench shift hasn’t always been enough.
The main over 4.5 assists line was −136 and requires five, compared with −278 for four or more. The extra requirement changes the longer record sharply: five occurred in 36 of his 52 Toronto wins and 54 of 94 appearances overall. Eleven wins finished on exactly four. Four of his five appearances this season reached both four and five assists. The reason to pay for four comes from the larger record.
Three assists was −690 and held in 51 of those 52 wins. That is a considerably heavier price, but it would have covered his latest winning-game miss at four: three assists in 22 minutes against Miami on April 9, when Toronto won 128–114. The four-assist choice asks you to accept that kind of miss for a lighter price.
Toronto lists Immanuel Quickley as its expected starting point guard and Shead among the bench players. Quickley’s role leaves Shead dependent on the chances he gets with the second unit and on teammates finishing his passes. The current winning games support four without requiring a starting assignment; they don’t fix tonight’s minutes.
Scottie Barnes: 6+ rebounds (−315)
Six rebounds is the board target to compare if you expect Barnes to help Toronto finish a winning night. His three wins this season brought six against Chicago, 14 against Washington and six in the first Orlando game. Two of those three landed exactly on the target, making the next step up a meaningful choice.
Seven boards was −176, but it occurred in only 35 of his 51 Toronto wins and 51 of 92 appearances overall. Six keeps seven additional winning games from the longer record, including those two current wins. The smaller price on seven comes with a requirement that has been noticeably harder to reach.
Going down to five rebounds was −630 and held in 45 of those 51 wins. That would have retained his latest winning-game miss at six: five boards in 35 minutes against Cleveland on April 23, when Toronto won 126–104. He scored 33 points and had 11 assists that night, so a productive all-around game still left this rebound target short.
The same distinction matters after Friday’s performance. Barnes had five rebounds in 39 minutes despite scoring 41 points against Orlando. His other loss this season brought three boards in 28 minutes against Minnesota. Six has held in all three current wins and neither loss, but five games are too few to make that split a rule about how tonight must unfold.
Barnes is expected to start at power forward, with Kawhi Leonard out because of his knee. That changes Toronto’s rotation around him without guaranteeing any extra rebounds. The case for paying −315 is the room below seven; the latest five-board game shows that room can still run out.
Scottie Barnes: under 1.5 made threes (−222)
This offers a different way to use Barnes without asking for a low-scoring game. He made just one of his two three-point attempts during Friday’s 41-point performance. Of his 19 made field goals, only one came from beyond the arc. A big scoring total can leave the under intact.
He has made one, one, zero, zero and one threes in his five appearances this season. All five stayed below two, including the three wins. That recent run supports the older record in the table, although it is still only five games. One of those single-make nights came on six attempts against Washington, so low makes have not always meant low volume.
The opposite side, over 1.5 threes, was +166. Two or more occurred in 10 of his 51 Toronto wins and 21 of 92 appearances overall. The under’s −222 price is lighter than the six-rebound option, but it adds the risk of a second successful three-point attempt.
The Cleveland win on April 23 is a direct counterexample to both Barnes choices: he made three of five threes and finished with five rebounds. Toronto won comfortably while the shooting under and the six-board target both missed. Leonard’s current absence may change the shots Barnes takes, so a quiet recent three-point line should not be treated as a fixed limit.
Shead is the bench-passing route. For Barnes, choose the rebound target if the room below seven boards matters enough to pay for it, or consider the shooting under if you expect most of his scoring to come inside the arc. Taking both Barnes props adds two requirements to the same player’s night. Their separate historical rates don’t establish a combined success rate. Check the sportsbook’s actual same-game parlay quote before combining any of these options; you don’t need all three to use the Toronto-win premise.
