Timberwolves Parlay Picks vs. Jazz: Side & Support Parlay Plays

A Minnesota win doesn’t have to mean a big rebounding night for LaMelo Ball. In the Timberwolves’ latest victory, he had two rebounds and eight assists while Jaden McDaniels collected six boards. Those are two different ways to approach Timberwolves parlay picks against Utah: McDaniels reaching six rebounds, or Ball staying below twelve combined rebounds and assists.

For Side & Support Parlay Plays, backing Minnesota means looking at those players in Wolves wins and Jaxson Hayes in Jazz losses, then comparing each with his all-game record. Hayes supplies a third choice through his points-and-rebounds under. The aim is to find a contribution that fits your view of the matchup, without treating all three as a package.

These records cover this season’s regular-season appearances with each player’s current team. Each winning or losing sample contains only seven games; the perfect records below are a strong start, not a long history. Jaden McDaniels: over 5.5 rebounds

Six rebounds has been enough in five of McDaniels’ seven winning games this season. His other two wins brought eight, including the recent victory in Houston. That makes the choice between six and seven particularly useful: the extra rebound would have changed most of those winning results.

Over 5.5 rebounds cost −120. The equivalent six-rebound milestone was −122, while five rebounds cost −233. Five covered the same seven wins and nine of ten appearances overall, so the heavier price didn’t recover another game this season. Seven paid +148, but covered only two of the seven Wolves wins and three of ten appearances overall, compared with seven wins and nine appearances at six.

His latest six came in forty minutes against New Orleans. He also collected six in wins over Orlando, Toronto, the Clippers and Milwaukee, across appearances ranging from 29 to 33 minutes. That range is useful, but it doesn’t mean extra minutes guarantee the boards: his only miss this season was three rebounds in 39 minutes against San Antonio.

The older record is a significant brake on that perfect start. Across his recorded Minnesota appearances in the 2025–26 and 2026–27 regular seasons, six rebounds covered nineteen of 51 wins and thirty of 83 games overall. Last season included winning performances with two rebounds against Utah and two against Houston. His separate final playoff appearance last spring ended with one rebound in 23 minutes against San Antonio.

This is a choice built around his current rebounding, not a claim that he’s always delivered six. He’s averaging 6.2 boards in ten games this season, up from about 4.2 in his 73 recorded regular-season appearances last season. Minnesota’s current lineup includes Ball and Jonathan Kuminga, with Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo listed out, so the current group deserves its own look alongside that much weaker older record.

LaMelo Ball: under 11.5 rebounds + assists

Ball can score and pass productively while this under still lands. Against Milwaukee, he scored 34 points with six rebounds and three assists. In the latest win over New Orleans, his eight assists were paired with only two rebounds. Neither required a quiet scoring game to stay below twelve combined boards and assists.

The combined under cost −109. His separate assist under was 7.5 at −148, and his rebound under was 4.5 at −118. Each separate under covered only five of Minnesota’s seven wins and seven of ten appearances overall; the combined choice covered all seven wins and nine appearances. It leaves room for eight assists when the rebounds stay low, or six rebounds when the passing total is modest.

That room has limits. Ball’s sole miss came in the loss to San Antonio: eight rebounds and four assists made twelve, despite playing only twenty minutes. A shorter appearance hasn’t automatically protected the under. His most recent game lasted 35 minutes, his longest of this season’s ten appearances, so treating a brief shift as part of tonight’s case would be especially unhelpful.

The winning totals have ranged from eight to eleven. Eleven against the Clippers was still enough for the under, leaving less room than the eight he posted in Houston. All ten games in this row are Minnesota appearances; there isn’t an older Wolves sample behind the seven winning results.

Jaxson Hayes: under 15.5 points + rebounds

Hayes has kept collecting boards in Utah defeats without necessarily clearing this combined total. In one loss to San Antonio, he had eleven rebounds but only two points in 37 minutes. His thirteen combined points and rebounds stayed below the offer despite the productive night on the glass.

Under 15.5 cost −116. His points under was 8.5 at −110, covering five of seven Jazz losses and five of eight appearances overall. Under 6.5 rebounds at −110 covered four losses and five appearances. The combined under covered all seven. You don’t need both scoring and rebounding to stay beneath those separate lines; a low total in one can leave room for the other.

His latest game was closer. Eight points and six rebounds against Dallas made fourteen in 28 minutes. He also finished on fourteen against the Lakers, Portland and in another San Antonio loss. Sixteen would beat this under, so those performances don’t leave a large cushion.

The clear counterexample came in Utah’s only win: seventeen points and five rebounds against New Orleans, in 26 minutes. That’s 22 combined, well beyond the line. The seven-loss pattern belongs to just eight recorded Utah appearances this season, without older results from another team added to it.

Hayes is the expected starting center, but Utah’s frontcourt is unsettled. Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jusuf Nurkic are listed out, and Lauri Markkanen is questionable with a wrist sprain. Those absences and uncertainty matter to how the minutes are shared. Hayes has already stayed under in a 37-minute loss, but that doesn’t make a changing role irrelevant or guarantee that his scoring stays low.

Choose the contribution you expect

McDaniels is the choice if you want to build around Minnesota’s work on the glass. Ball’s combined under allows an effective scoring night and some passing production, while Hayes’ under looks to the opposing frontcourt. McDaniels and Ball share Minnesota’s rebound opportunities, so their separate records shouldn’t be treated as independent evidence for a combination.
