Kevin Durant has helped Houston win with fourteen points and with thirty. In both of those games, he handed out at least three assists. If you’re backing the Rockets against Phoenix, his passing is worth separating from his scoring.
These Rockets parlay picks put Durant’s assists beside Jabari Smith Jr.’s points and Fred VanVleet’s passing. Side & Support compares what each player did in Houston wins with his all-game record. That gives you three ways to support a Rockets-win view, without having to take all three props.
Rockets parlay picks: two passing targets and Smith’s points
Durant’s records cover his Houston regular-season appearances since October 1, 2025. Smith and VanVleet’s cover this season; VanVleet has only five wins in his sample. The longer comparisons include this season’s games. Individual DraftKings prices are November 7 snapshots and can change.

Kevin Durant 3+ assists (−205)
Three assists gives you a way to back Durant’s contribution without needing him to lead the scoring. He had four assists alongside fourteen points in the win over Oklahoma City, and three alongside thirty points in the opening win over Dallas. Different scoring nights still got the passing job done.
The longer Houston record supports that modest target: three assists in 49 of 55 wins, compared with 70 of 87 appearances overall since October 1, 2025. This season’s six of seven wins fits the same pattern. It’s a more established Houston comparison than the early-season records behind the other two options.
Asking for four changes the case considerably. The four-assist offer was +120, but only three of this season’s seven wins reached it. Durant finished with exactly three in the Dallas opener, one of the Atlanta wins and the Boston win. You get a bigger payout at four, with those three recent wins falling short.
He can still miss the lower target while playing a full night. The other Atlanta win brought two assists in 37 minutes, and his latest game against Minnesota brought two in 35. Three is a useful cushion, not a promise that another Houston win will supply it.
Jabari Smith Jr. over 13.5 points (−126)
Smith doesn’t need a big scoring night for this one, but the exact line matters. Three Houston wins this season ended with him on fourteen points: the first Atlanta game, Milwaukee and Boston. The fifteen-point offer was +101; it reached only three of the seven wins, compared with six for over 13.5.
Going the other way, twelve or more points was −219. That lower request reached the same six Houston wins and seven of nine appearances this season, so the recent record didn’t improve when you paid for the extra cushion. The fourteen-point target at −126 is the more useful comparison here, rather than automatically taking the lowest available line.
His misses deserve room beside that choice. Smith scored seven in 34 minutes in the win at San Antonio, then eleven in 35 minutes in the latest loss to Minnesota. Neither was simply a night with too little playing time; he’s started all nine games, playing 30–39 minutes.
The longer Houston record is weaker, too. Since October 1, 2025, over 13.5 landed in 43 of 55 wins and 59 of 86 appearances overall. This season’s six-of-seven winning record makes the current case, but it hasn’t been the same frequent outcome across that larger stretch.
Fred VanVleet 5+ assists (−181)
VanVleet supplied eleven assists in the opening Dallas win and nine against Boston. The other three Houston wins in his sample ended with exactly five. That makes five versus six a meaningful choice: the six-assist offer was +105, but only those Dallas and Boston wins got there.
Four or more assists was −373, compared with −181 for five. Both targets reached the same five wins and six of seven appearances this season. Paying more for four would add room below the line, but it wouldn’t have rescued his latest game: VanVleet had three assists in 30 minutes against Minnesota.
The five-for-five record is small. There are only seven Houston appearances in this season’s comparison, all starts of 27–33 minutes, and extending the saved Houston history back to October 1, 2025 adds no appearances. Treat this as a specific early-season passing pattern, with a recent miss at normal minutes, rather than a long-running perfect record.

Choose the contribution you want
Durant’s three-assist target has the longer Houston history behind it. Smith offers the lighter price if you’d rather back a modest scoring contribution, while VanVleet’s five-assist choice depends more on a small early-season sample.
Taking both passing props would put more of your choice on Houston turning chances into baskets. Either player could assist a Smith score, too. Those shared opportunities are a reason to choose your preferred route, not to treat three separate records as the chance or price of a combined parlay.
