Avalanche Parlay Picks vs. Predators: Side & Support Parlay Plays

Gabriel Landeskog has recorded a point in eight of Colorado’s nine wins this season, yet he’s finished with no more than one shot on goal in every one of those victories. If you’re backing the Avalanche against Nashville, his points over and shots under offer two quite different ways to view the same player.

For Landeskog and T.J. Hughes, we look back at Avalanche wins. Mavrik Bourque’s points under takes us to Nashville losses, where we can see how often he stayed off the scoresheet. Hughes adds a separate shooting option to the two Landeskog choices. These are choices to compare, not four legs you have to combine.

All rows cover this regular season with each player’s current club. Nine Colorado wins and six Nashville losses for Bourque are short records; Landeskog’s older Colorado results are much less supportive.

Gabriel Landeskog over 0.5 points

Landeskog collected an assist in each of Colorado’s recent wins over Calgary and Chicago. He didn’t put a shot on net against the Blackhawks, which is the appeal of a point rather than a goal: helping create a scoring play is enough.

DraftKings offered the point at +130: a $100 individual stake would earn $130 profit if he records a goal or an assist. The lone Colorado win this season in which he went scoreless came against Calgary earlier in October. His recent losses also matter: he had no points against either Nashville or Columbus, including the Avalanche’s latest game. Colorado lost the earlier meeting with the Predators 6–2, so this isn’t a rematch in which the recent result automatically supports a Colorado-win view.

The eight-of-nine run is a current-season case. Last regular season, Landeskog recorded a point in 26 of 45 Colorado wins and 29 of 60 appearances overall. You get a plus price here, but the older record gives you a clear reason not to treat this season’s winning-game rate as his normal level.

Gabriel Landeskog under 1.5 shots on goal

Landeskog’s recent wins show how he can contribute without shooting much. He scored on his only shot against New Jersey, then had an assist and one shot against Calgary, followed by that assist with no shots in Chicago. The under still allows him to put one on net.

At −120, a $120 individual stake on the shots under would earn $100 profit. It pays less than his points over on the same stake, but doesn’t require a scoring contribution. The two can both land, as those games show, or he can finish scoreless with few shots. Choosing between them comes down to what you want from his involvement, not which row has the larger percentage.

The perfect nine-game winning record is much stronger than last season, when he stayed below two shots in just 14 of 45 Avalanche wins and 20 of 60 appearances overall. He also had three shots in the recent loss at New Jersey. The under has fit this season’s victories, but his history doesn’t support treating low shot volume as a permanent feature of his game.

T.J. Hughes over 1.5 shots on goal

Hughes put three shots on net in Chicago and two in the following loss at Columbus. He also had two against Calgary and three against New Jersey in Colorado wins. Two shots gives you an option that doesn’t need him to finish a goal or set one up.

DraftKings offered −165. His only miss in an Avalanche win this season came against Dallas, when he finished with one shot. He also had just one in the earlier Nashville meeting, so the Predators have already held him below this line once.

Hughes has appeared in all 16 Colorado games this season and played 15:21 at Columbus. He’s been getting regular minutes, though his exact line for tonight isn’t established. Those 16 appearances are the full current Colorado sample here; there isn’t an older Colorado regular-season record in the saved window to put behind this shooting run.

Mavrik Bourque under 0.5 points

Bourque had three shots without a point in Nashville’s latest win over Carolina. That distinction matters for this under: he can get chances and still stay off the scoresheet. He also finished without a point in the Predators’ recent losses to Pittsburgh, the Islanders and Washington.

The −135 price asks for no goal and no assist. In the six Nashville defeats he’s played this season, the exception was an assist against Toronto. He also assisted in the Predators’ 6–2 win over Colorado, a reminder that this opponent has already seen him make a scoring contribution.

He’s on Nashville’s projected first line and played 16:18 against Carolina, so limited opportunity isn’t the argument. His current Nashville record is only 11 games, and going scoreless has been common across results. The under is an option that has remained attainable in losses, so the small difference between his loss record and overall record isn’t the reason to choose it.

Decide what you need from the forwards

If you want Landeskog involved in the scoring, the point offers a plus price. If your view is simply that he won’t shoot much, the under leaves his scoring out of it. Hughes provides a separate shot target. Both Landeskog choices follow the same player’s night, and all four options share this game’s opportunities; their separate records don’t supply a combined probability or parlay price.
