Canadiens Parlay Picks vs. Mammoth: Side & Support Parlay Plays

Utah’s last loss at Philadelphia left Dylan Guenther without a point despite four shots on goal. Vincent Trocheck took two shots and recorded an assist in that same defeat. If you’re backing Montreal, those are two different ways to think about the Mammoth: a scorer staying off the scoresheet and another forward still getting pucks on net.

These Canadiens parlay picks compare Guenther’s points under and Trocheck’s shot over in Utah losses, alongside Alex Newhook’s points under in Montreal wins. Side & Support gives you individual options around a Canadiens-win scenario; it doesn’t require every opposing player to have a quiet night.

Canadiens parlay picks: scoring limits and a Utah shot option

The table uses this season’s completed regular-season appearances with each player’s current club. There are six Utah losses and nine Montreal wins in these comparisons. The all-game records use the same dates and participation rules; these small samples describe results, not tonight’s probabilities.

Individual DraftKings odds captured November 5, 2026, around 12:12 p.m. ET. Current-season appearances with each player’s current club; losses include overtime defeats. Prices can change.

Dylan Guenther: Under 0.5 points

Guenther has been pointless in every Utah loss this season, including four-shot games against Minnesota and Philadelphia. The under can survive an active shooting night, but those chances also make it clear why a blank scoresheet is never automatic.

His latest game went the other way: a goal in Utah’s 3–2 win at Toronto. The point under at +100 asks for no goal or assist. His assists-only under was much more expensive at −265; it would allow that Toronto goal, which is precisely the extra room you give up for the even-money price.

The six-loss record is much stronger than his longer Utah history. Since October 1, 2025, Guenther has gone without a point in 25 of 43 losses and 40 of 95 appearances overall. That broader comparison leaves plenty of defeats in which he did contribute. This is a recent scoring pattern to consider if you like Montreal, not a rule that follows from the Mammoth losing.

Vincent Trocheck: Over 1.5 shots on goal

Trocheck offers a way to support a Montreal win without needing all of Utah’s forwards to stop producing. He has taken at least two shots in each Mammoth loss this season, ranging from two at Philadelphia to five against Minnesota. A shot on goal doesn’t need to turn into a goal or assist for this option to succeed.

At −140, the two-shot target is a volume choice. His point over at +100 asks for a scoring contribution instead, and he has supplied one in only two of those six losses. The different prices come with different tasks; a bigger payout on the point doesn’t make it an interchangeable bet.

The latest Toronto win supplies a useful counterexample to any assumption about steady shot volume: Trocheck finished with zero shots in 18:36. He’s currently listed at second-line center, but that role doesn’t guarantee two shots. The longer search adds no Utah appearances beyond these 16 games, so the perfect losing-game record still rests on just six defeats.

Alex Newhook: Under 0.5 points

Montreal has often won without a Newhook point this season. His quiet games include both the 2–0 win at St. Louis and the 5–4 win over Pittsburgh, so this option doesn’t depend on the Canadiens keeping the whole game low-scoring.

The exception was the 5–2 win at Dallas, when Newhook scored twice. His two goals would defeat today’s −165 point under, while an assists-only under—priced at −350—would allow that goal-only contribution. You pay less for the point under because a goal beats it too; that Dallas game is a concrete reason to keep the distinction in mind.

Newhook followed Dallas with two pointless appearances, but his expected second-line role still gives him a chance to contribute. And the older Montreal record is much less persuasive: no point in 20 of 35 wins and 34 of 57 appearances since October 1, 2025. The current eight-of-nine mark is useful context, not evidence that his scoring is incompatible with a Canadiens win.

Choose between scoring and activity

Guenther’s even-money under takes a clear view of one Utah scorer. Trocheck’s shots let you allow some opposing activity, while Newhook’s under asks Montreal to find its offense elsewhere. If you expect Newhook to be involved in Montreal’s scoring, you can leave his under out.

Each is an individual choice; the separate records don’t provide a combined probability or parlay price. DraftKings prices were captured November 5 around 12:12 p.m. ET and can change. Follow the live Canadiens–Mammoth matchup, or explore more NHL parlay ideas.
