A Miami upset doesn’t require every Lion to have a quiet afternoon. In Detroit’s losses to Buffalo and Carolina this season, Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for 52 and 46 yards while Sam LaPorta caught six and eight passes. If you’re backing the Dolphins, that contrast between rushing production and receiving work is worth exploring.
These Dolphins parlay picks look at Gibbs, LaPorta and Jameson Williams in Lions losses, then compare those games with their full Detroit records. Side & Support Parlay Plays starts with your chosen winner and asks which player props have accompanied that result. Here, all three options come from the opponent; you don’t need to force a Miami player into the mix or take every option together.
Dolphins parlay picks: three Detroit contributions to compare
The table covers 2025 and 2026 regular-season appearances with Detroit. LaPorta has receiving records in only five Lions losses in that period, including two this season; Gibbs and Williams each have ten. Individual DraftKings offers were captured early Sunday and can change.

| Jameson Williams 30+ receiving yards |
−334 | 90.0% 9 of 10 DET losses |
83.3% 20 of 24 appearances |
Jahmyr Gibbs: under 96.5 rushing yards
Gibbs has stayed below 96.5 rushing yards in each of his ten Detroit losses across these two seasons. This year’s defeats show how that can fit your Miami view: he had 16 carries against Buffalo and 15 against Carolina, compared with at least 20 in every Lions win this season. You aren’t asking him to disappear from the offense, just to finish with no more than 96 rushing yards.
At −110, the rushing-yard under is a slightly lighter price than his under 20.5 carries at −118. Both reached all ten losses in the sample. Across all 24 appearances, the yardage under reached sixteen and the carries under nineteen. They ask for different things. An efficient day can take him over 96.5 yards on fewer carries; a busier, less productive day can take him over 20.5 carries while staying below the yardage line.
The distinction from total production matters too. Gibbs’ under 135.5 rushing-plus-receiving yards at −112 reached nine of ten losses and fifteen of 24 appearances overall. In the 2025 loss to Philadelphia he rushed for 39 yards but finished with 146 combined yards. The rushing-only offer would still have worked, even as he kept contributing through the air.
His latest games are the strongest reason to keep the perfect losing record in perspective. Gibbs ran for 116 yards against Green Bay and 153 against Minnesota in consecutive wins, and his 157 carries in seven games this season represent a bigger workload than last year’s 243 in seventeen. Detroit is missing center Cade Mays. There are also injury questions around Sione Vaki’s ankle and Jacob Saylors’ neck, with Isiah Pacheco on injured reserve. Detroit elevated Jabari Small from the practice squad on Saturday, giving it another possible reserve behind Gibbs. A Dolphins win is the premise here; it doesn’t guarantee Miami holds down his rushing yards.
Sam LaPorta: over 4.5 receptions
LaPorta offers the opposite kind of contribution: enough receiving work to catch five passes even if Detroit loses. DraftKings priced over 4.5 at +120, the same as its separate 5+ catches milestone. He caught six against Buffalo and eight against Carolina in this season’s defeats, on seven and thirteen targets respectively.
His three older Detroit losses with receiving records brought six catches against Green Bay, five against Kansas City and six against Minnesota. That Kansas City game helps explain the choice. The 6+ alternative pays +242 but would have missed it, leaving four of five losses and four of sixteen appearances overall. Over 4.5 and the 5+ milestone each reached nine of sixteen appearances. Dropping to 4+ at −183 adds no further losing-game hit in this sample, though it reached ten of sixteen appearances overall.
Five games is still a small foundation, especially beside his latest usage. LaPorta caught one pass on two targets against Green Bay and three on five targets against Minnesota in his last two games, both Detroit wins. The receiving work has swung considerably rather than settling into a five-catch routine. Amon-Ra St. Brown is questionable with a rib injury, which could change how Detroit shares its targets, but it doesn’t confirm extra chances for LaPorta.
Jameson Williams: 30+ receiving yards
Williams gives you a lower yardage target at a heavier price, −334. He finished with 33 yards in the Buffalo loss and 102 in the Carolina loss this season. The former is the useful comparison: 30+ covered it, while DraftKings’ 40+ at −195 would not have.
Across both seasons, 30 yards reached nine of ten Lions losses and twenty of 24 appearances overall; 40 reached seven losses and eighteen appearances. His 37 yards in the Christmas Day loss to Minnesota is the other game that separates those targets. Paying for 30 preserves those two modest receiving days. Going down again to 25 costs −450 but doesn’t add another hit in the ten losses or across all 24 appearances.
The one remaining miss came in the 2025 opener at Green Bay, when Williams caught four passes for 23 yards. Catches alone aren’t enough for a yardage bet. He has reached 30 in all seven games this season, including 91 against Green Bay and 70 against Minnesota in the latest wins, so this is also a target he has kept reaching across results. St. Brown’s uncertain availability affects the receiving group, and Williams and LaPorta will share Detroit’s passing opportunities. Their separate records aren’t evidence that both props will land together.

Choose how you see the upset unfolding
If your Miami view starts with Detroit getting less from its ground game, Gibbs’ rushing under is the clearest match. LaPorta’s over asks for catches to remain available even in defeat, with a bigger payout and a much smaller losing sample. Williams’ 30 yards costs more for a lower target that includes a pair of modest losing-game totals. You can use the contribution that fits your view; a sportsbook can adjust related-leg pricing, so these individual offers aren’t a combined parlay quote.
