Nickeil Alexander-Walker has recorded a steal in all four Atlanta games this season. For readers backing the Hawks against Miami, that defensive contribution has a useful wider pattern: at least one steal in 40 of his 47 Atlanta wins since the start of last season.
Side & Support starts with the winner you have in mind, then compares player props that have often accompanied that result. Here, Dyson Daniels’ four assists offer an Atlanta playmaking route, while Bam Adebayo’s seven rebounds allow for a productive opposing center in a Heat loss. Their recent records and prices make each a different choice.

Records cover each player’s appearances with his current team from the start of the 2025–26 season through completed games before this matchup, including postseason games. Each row’s win/loss record and all-game comparison use the same history. DraftKings prices were observed on October 28 and can change.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker: 1+ steal
Alexander-Walker’s steals have run one, two, three and one to open the season. He reached at least one in 40 of his 47 Atlanta wins across the window, compared with 65 of 88 appearances overall. That gives this milestone a clearer historical association with Hawks wins than his all-game record alone.
He has recorded a steal in seven of his last ten appearances, a span that includes last season’s playoffs. One recent zero came in a 38-minute Atlanta playoff win. Full playing time provides opportunity, but a single defensive event can still fail to arrive; seven wins in the larger sample finished without a steal.
DraftKings prices 1+ at -281, about $35.59 profit on a $100 stake. His current projection is 31 minutes. This is the defensive-event choice among the three, with a lower numerical requirement but a different kind of uncertainty from rebounds or assists.
Dyson Daniels: 4+ assists
Daniels reached four assists in 41 of his 48 Atlanta wins, against 64 of 86 appearances overall. The full-window difference is useful, but his opening week has been much closer to the line: three, four, three and four assists, with one clear in Atlanta’s two wins.
He has reached four in six of his last ten appearances. His seven misses in wins include three assists in 35 minutes in this season’s opener and two in a 26-minute playoff appearance. This is a case where the older winning-game pattern is stronger than the recent run, so it deserves more scrutiny than the percentage by itself suggests.
At -247, a $100 stake pays about $40.49 profit, the largest individual payout in this group. He’s projected for 30 minutes after playing 23–35 in the first four games. Four assists remains attainable in that workload, but the two three-assist games show how little separates a clear from a miss.
Bam Adebayo: 7+ rebounds
Adebayo has reached seven rebounds in 36 of the 41 Miami losses he played in across the window. The comparable all-game record is 68 of 78, so this option is about steady production that can survive a Heat loss, rather than expecting Atlanta’s result to suppress his rebounding.
Miami’s four losses this season included seven, six, eight and eight rebounds from Adebayo. He reached seven in eight of his last ten appearances. His recent six-rebound miss came in 23 minutes; the wider losing-game sample also contains a four-rebound game in 33 minutes and three rebounds in 29. A normal workload hasn’t made the mark automatic.
DraftKings lists -307, about $32.57 profit on $100. He is projected for 33 minutes alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo in Miami’s current frontcourt. The recent results give you a more current view of his share of the glass than the older losses alone.
Choose the contribution you expect in an Atlanta win
Alexander-Walker’s steal follows a clean four-game opening run, Daniels’ assists offer more payout with sharper recent counterevidence, and Adebayo’s rebounds let an opposing player contribute without changing your Hawks premise. Compare those differences before deciding what to add. Their individual historical records aren’t a combined win probability, and the sportsbook can adjust related-leg pricing.
