Naz Reid had 11 rebounds and only 12 points in Charlotte’s loss to Washington on Friday. If you’re backing the Hornets against Philadelphia, his rebounding line gives you a way to support that view without needing his shooting to bounce back too.
These Hornets parlay picks start with a hypothetical Charlotte win and compare Reid’s rebounds with a different route on the other side: Tyrese Maxey reaching four assists even if the 76ers lose. Reid offers plus money from a very short Charlotte record; Maxey offers a lower target at a much heavier price.
Hornets parlay picks: rebounds or a passing floor
The records below cover completed current-team games from October 1, 2025 through October 30, 2026, including the postseason. Conditional and all-game records use the same club, dates and participation rules. For Reid, that means just six Charlotte appearances this season. Maxey’s record spans 88 Philadelphia games, with only one loss among his six appearances this season. These are historical hit rates, not today’s probabilities. Individual DraftKings prices can change.
| Player & prop | Odds | With this result | All current-team games |

66.7% 4 of 6 appearances |
| Tyrese Maxey 4+ assists |
−541 | 82.5% 33 of 40 76ers losses |
86.4% 76 of 88 appearances |
Naz Reid: over 8.5 rebounds at +107
Reid collected 11, nine and 12 rebounds in Charlotte’s three wins. Those are encouraging results for a nine-rebound target, but three wins are an early pattern to weigh, not an established expectation. His six-game Charlotte record includes two misses, both with six rebounds.
Friday’s game shows why rebounds are a useful alternative to his scoring line. Reid shot 5-for-17 and finished with 12 points in 31 minutes, yet still collected 11 boards. His 18-point milestone at −130 also cleared in all three Hornets wins, but only three of six appearances overall. Rebounds cleared in four. You don’t need a productive shooting night for this choice to work.
The eight-rebound milestone was −153, compared with +107 for over 8.5. Both cleared in the same four Charlotte games because none of those six appearances finished at exactly eight. That doesn’t make the extra rebound free: a future eight-board night would win the lower line and lose this one. Nine offers the larger payout if you’re willing to give up that cushion.
Playing time is the biggest reason to keep the small sample in perspective. Reid has started all six games, but his minutes have ranged from 13 to 37. The 13-minute appearance against Detroit ended with six rebounds; he also had six in 25 minutes against Atlanta. We keep both misses in the record rather than assuming a full workload every night.
Charlotte has Coby White and Kon Knueppel listed out, although Knueppel’s latest report addressed Friday’s game. Reid is expected to start and has no listed injury. That supports considering his role, but it doesn’t settle how many minutes he’ll get on the second night of a back-to-back. His previous Minnesota games aren’t part of these Charlotte counts.
Tyrese Maxey: 4+ assists at −541
Maxey’s four-assist floor has held up in 33 of 40 Philadelphia losses in this window. It was actually more common across all his appearances, so the record doesn’t suggest that losing makes this prop more likely. The point is that his passing can remain productive even when the 76ers don’t win.
The January meeting in Charlotte makes that distinction clear. Philadelphia lost 130–93, and Maxey scored just six points in 25 minutes. He still had seven assists. The 20-point milestone, priced at −730 today, would have missed badly; four assists would have cleared. Both targets cleared in 33 historical Philadelphia losses, but they didn’t clear in exactly the same games.
He has reached four assists in all six appearances this season, including the only loss, against Detroit. Four of his last five games ended at exactly four, with six in the other. That’s useful room to preserve: five assists was −244, but it cleared in only 28 of the 40 losses. The bigger payout comes with an extra assist to find, and his recent games show how often that difference matters.
His workload has remained substantial, averaging about 38 minutes this season, close to his older Philadelphia average. On Friday he played 38 minutes and finished with 27 points and four assists against New York. Jaylen Brown is listed day-to-day with a knee issue. His latest report concerned Friday’s absence, so Saturday’s lineup remains unconfirmed.
There have been misses with meaningful minutes too. In a May playoff loss to the Knicks, Maxey had two assists and 13 points in 27 minutes. Four is a low target, but −541 is a heavy price for accepting those misses. This is the smaller-payout route here, rather than a reason to add another leg automatically.
Choose the contribution that fits your Hornets view
Reid’s rebounds let his shooting struggle while the prop survives. Maxey’s assists let Philadelphia’s scoring and result disappoint without needing his passing to disappear. You can compare those routes separately; their historical records don’t establish the probability of both clearing together.
