Brandon Miller has made at least two threes in 41 of his 45 Charlotte wins since the start of last season. He’s also made three, three and five in the Hornets’ three wins this season, giving readers backing Charlotte in Detroit a clear shooting pattern to examine.
For these Side & Support picks, the second route comes from the other team: Cade Cunningham collecting four rebounds in a Pistons loss. Starting with a Hornets win lets you compare contributions that can fit that outcome, including an opposing player’s production. Both milestones carry short prices, so their modest payouts are part of the decision.

Win/loss and all-game comparisons use the same history for each player. DraftKings prices were observed on October 28 and can change.
Brandon Miller: 2+ made threes
Miller’s five threes helped him reach 39 points in Monday’s win over Washington. This option asks for much less than a repeat of that scoring night: two made threes, a mark he has reached in 61 of 71 Charlotte appearances overall, including 41 of 45 wins.
He made at least two in all three wins this season, but made only one in the 81-point team performance against Atlanta. He has reached two in eight of his last ten appearances, a stretch spanning last season’s finish and this season’s opening week. His four misses in wins include a one-three game in April despite 34 minutes on court.
DraftKings lists 2+ at -630, which pays about $15.87 profit on a $100 stake. The available 3+ line at -221 pays more because it requires another make; the two lines deserve separate decisions. Two has been the steadier historical mark, but at this price, adding it means taking another failure condition for a relatively small payout increase.
Cade Cunningham: 4+ rebounds
Cunningham had nine rebounds in Tuesday’s loss to New York. An opposing guard can contribute on the glass while Charlotte still gets the result you’re backing, and four rebounds has appeared in 20 of his 25 Detroit losses in the window. The comparable all-game record is 60 of 82 appearances.
His latest performance is useful context, but it shouldn’t hide the uneven recent record: four, two, eight and nine rebounds to open this season, and he reached four rebounds in six of his last ten appearances. One of the five misses in losses was a three-rebound playoff game in May, when he played 39 minutes. A low target can still fail with a full workload.
At -462, a $100 stake pays about $21.65 profit. The next offered step, 5+ at -227, offers a larger return but asks for another rebound. Detroit is playing on consecutive nights, and Cunningham logged 36 minutes on Tuesday; the current projection is 33 tonight. Jalen Duren is out, so the current frontcourt also differs from much of the historical sample.
Two ways to support a Charlotte pick
Miller’s threes give you the more consistent full-window record and a direct Charlotte contribution. Cunningham’s rebounds leave room for an active opposing guard, with a larger individual payout and a weaker recent record. Choose the addition whose requirement and price make sense to you; there is no need to use both. Their separate histories aren’t a combined success rate or an actual same-game parlay quote.
