Austin Reaves scored 25 points in the Lakers’ latest win over Portland, while Matisse Thybulle finished with two rebounds. If you’re backing Los Angeles to win in Detroit, those are two different contributions worth considering: points from a starting guard and a small rebounding total from a starting forward.
These Lakers parlay picks pair that win scenario with Reaves for 18 points or Thybulle under 2.5 rebounds. Side & Support Parlay Plays looks at how each option has fared in Lakers wins, then compares it with all of that player’s Lakers appearances. A supporting prop can ask a player to do less in one category, even when his team wins.
Two supporting options for a Lakers win
The records below cover this season’s Lakers appearances, starting with the 2026–27 regular-season opener. Eight wins and ten games are an early sample; Reaves’ longer record adds context below. These are individual DraftKings prices observed Sunday morning, November 8, and can change.
| Player & prop | Odds | In Lakers wins | All Lakers appearances |
|---|---|---|---|
| Austin Reaves 18+ points |

90.0% 9 of 10 LAL appearances 2026–27 regular season |
| Matisse Thybulle Under 2.5 rebounds |
−130 | 87.5% 7 of 8 LAL wins 2026–27 regular season |
80.0% 8 of 10 LAL appearances 2026–27 regular season |
Austin Reaves: 18+ points
Reaves has scored at least 18 in seven of the Lakers’ eight wins this season, but the choice of target matters. His 19 points against Toronto were enough for this option in a 131–125 win. Raising the request to 20 would have lost that game, leaving six of eight wins and eight of ten appearances overall. Reaves also reached 18 in both Lakers losses, so the case is that his scoring has held up across results, rather than become more frequent in wins.
DraftKings offered 18+ at −361 and 20+ at −232. That is a substantial price to pay for the lower target, so the Toronto example is the useful distinction: you’re leaving room for a winning night in which Reaves contributes without getting to 20. Dropping further to 15+ cost −780. It would recover his only miss at 18, a 16-point game against the Clippers, covering all eight wins and all ten appearances. You’re paying considerably more to include that one lower-scoring night.
That Clippers game wasn’t a brief appearance. Reaves played 31 minutes and took 16 shots in a 103–87 win. A comfortable team result can still leave him below the target. More recently, he followed 27 points against Miami and 21 against Sacramento with 25 against Portland, playing 38 minutes and taking 22 shots in the latest game.
The broader Lakers record is less emphatic than this season’s start: 18 points covered 36 of 44 wins across last season and this one, compared with 43 of 61 appearances overall. Last spring’s playoffs also included eight and 17 points in losses to Oklahoma City. Those playoff games are separate from the table, but they show why a modest-looking scoring request still needs a productive night.
Luka Doncic is questionable with lower-back tightness. Reaves is expected to start, and the injury report identifies him as the primary offensive option if Doncic sits. That could change how the Lakers create their shots; it doesn’t make these results a record of games played without Doncic. Consider the 18-point target on its own terms rather than assuming an absence guarantees more scoring.
Matisse Thybulle: Under 2.5 rebounds
Thybulle has finished with one or two rebounds in seven of the Lakers’ eight wins. He’s started all ten games in this season’s record, playing between 19 and 28 minutes. The under therefore fits a role he’s actually been playing, rather than depending on him staying on the bench.
His last four games produced two rebounds against Toronto, one against Miami, one against Sacramento and two against Portland. The latest two came in 24 minutes. Those are ordinary contributions alongside a Lakers win, even though they don’t make for a big individual box score.
Under 2.5 cost −130. The other side, over 2.5 at −101, needed three rebounds; the 3+ milestone also cost −101. Thybulle has reached three only twice this season, once in a win and once in a loss. The higher payout for three comes with a result he’s reached much less often, including just one of the eight wins.
Both misses for the under came against Golden State. He grabbed three rebounds in the opening win while playing 23 minutes, then three in a later loss over 28 minutes. The winning miss matters: he didn’t need unusually long playing time to go over this line. There are only ten Lakers appearances behind these figures, and a third rebound is enough to change the result.
Thybulle is expected to start at forward alongside Walker Kessler at center. Detroit’s Jalen Duren is listed out with a hamstring injury, with Paul Reed expected to replace him, while Doncic’s status leaves the Lakers’ final rotation unsettled. The recent role is a reason to consider this under, not a promise that Sunday’s minutes or rebounding opportunities will look identical.

Scoring support or a quieter rebounding night
Reaves’ target leaves room for a contribution just below 20 points, at a much heavier individual price. Thybulle’s under asks for his usual small rebounding total at a lower cost. You can choose the contribution that fits your Lakers-win view without using both. Their separate records don’t establish the chance of either combination landing.
