Max Christie scored 11 in each of Dallas’ last two wins, entirely from three threes and two free throws. If you’re backing the Mavericks again, nine points leaves a little room—but you’re still asking him to knock down shots from outside.
Christie and P.J. Washington give you two scoring choices against Houston, with Zaccharie Risacher’s rebounds and Daniel Gafford’s blocks offering different routes. Compare the four individually before deciding what belongs alongside your Dallas-win view.
Mavericks parlay picks: four support options
The table covers last season and this season with Dallas, including the playoffs. Each player’s record in wins is compared with his overall record for the same period. Risacher has just five Mavericks games.

Max Christie: 9+ points at −129
Christie has reached nine in all three Dallas wins this season and finished at five in both losses. His five totals are five, 16, five, 11 and 11. That winning pattern also shows up in the longer Dallas record, though it still leaves misses to account for.
He’s started all five and played 22–38 minutes. His last two wins needed three made threes and two free throws apiece for 11 points, with no made two-point basket. A good stint on the floor won’t do the job if the outside shots don’t fall.
Houston already gave him one of those difficult nights: five points in 29 minutes, on two-of-eight shooting overall and one of seven from three. That’s the miss to keep beside his recent wins.
Eight points at −182 covered 24 of 27 Dallas wins and 68 of 82 appearances overall. Nine at −129 costs less while giving up a point of room, one winning-game hit and three overall.
P.J. Washington: 10+ points at −277
Washington’s current role gives you a reason to consider ten points beyond the older winning record. He’s started all five, taken 9–16 shots each game and averaged 33.6 minutes, up from 30.9. The historical win comparison is based on only 19 games, so the recent opportunity is useful context.
He’s scored ten, 20, 12, 20 and 18 this season. All five got there, but Houston held him to exactly ten on four-of-nine shooting in 31 minutes. There wasn’t a spare point in that first meeting.
Eight points at −552 offers more cushion, with 17 hits in 19 Dallas wins and 53 in 61 appearances overall. Ten at −277 is a much lighter price for a higher target. His current run supports taking a look, without making another hit automatic.
Zaccharie Risacher: 5+ rebounds at +113
Risacher has reached five rebounds in all three Dallas wins and four of his five games overall. Those five games are the entire Mavericks record behind this option, so there’s plenty still to learn.
His totals are six, six, four, eight and six in 27–32 minutes. Four games came off the bench and one as a starter; the start brought the miss, four in 32 minutes. More minutes or a place in the starting five hasn’t guaranteed the extra board.
His two six-board games against Houston and Oklahoma City came in different ways. Five were defensive in the opener, while four were offensive in the latest game. That’s worth considering before expecting the same total to come the same way.
Six rebounds at +220 had the same three hits in Dallas wins and four overall as five. Five at +113 leaves a board of room below his latest total, while four at −185 covered all five games. The early records happen to match at five and six; you’re choosing cushion and payout, not a proven pricing edge.
Daniel Gafford: 1+ block at −357
Gafford recorded a block in 13 of 15 Dallas wins, more often than across his 60 Mavericks appearances overall. That’s encouraging for a Dallas-win view, but the winning sample is only 15 games.
He’s started all five games this season and blocked exactly two shots each time, playing 15–27 minutes. Against Houston, he had two in 22 minutes. The recent case doesn’t depend on assuming he’ll get a 30-minute night.
Two blocks at +123 would have worked in all five games this season, but only eight of 15 Dallas wins and 26 of 60 appearances overall. One at −357 buys a lower target that looks quite different across the longer record. The current streak can make that difference easy to overlook.
Choosing your Mavericks parlay picks
Start with the kind of production you want to back. Christie’s lighter scoring price comes with clear outside-shooting risk; Washington is getting more shots and minutes at a heavier price. Risacher gives you the positive price with just five Dallas games to judge, while Gafford’s one-block line asks less than his recent two-block run.
Alperen Sengun was questionable with a back issue and Dallas’ Naji Marshall was questionable with illness in Friday’s reports. Check their final status for the rotation context, without assuming either absence hands these players extra production.
You don’t need all four to express a Dallas-win view. The separate records don’t give us a combined chance of winning or an available parlay price. Follow live Rockets–Mavericks matchup, or explore more NBA parlay ideas.
