Pistons Parlay Picks vs. Hornets: Side & Support Parlay Plays

Cade Cunningham handed out seven assists when Detroit beat Charlotte 97–89 last Wednesday. Naz Reid finished with seven points, six rebounds and no assists for the Hornets that night. Those contributions offer two different ways to think about Monday’s rematch: Cunningham creating baskets for Detroit, or Charlotte getting less combined production from Reid.

These Pistons parlay picks take a hypothetical Detroit win at Spectrum Center on November 2 as the starting point. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Eastern, and the saved Monday morning DraftKings snapshot quoted the Pistons at −208. Cunningham’s seven-assist target has a longer Detroit history behind it. Reid’s two under options use all seven of his Charlotte appearances, a much smaller sample that deserves a closer look at how those games unfolded.

The options below are alternatives to compare around that winner premise. Reid’s assists and combined production describe different limits on the same player; using both would still expose you to the same minutes and game. The prices are individual DraftKings quotes checked on November 2 and can change.

Supporting options for a Pistons win

Cunningham’s records cover his previous and current seasons with Detroit, including the playoffs. Reid’s cover his entire current Charlotte stint. Each all-game comparison uses the same player’s club, dates and appearances as its conditional record.

Cade Cunningham: 7+ assists (−367)

Cunningham’s seven-assist line cleared in 52 of 59 Detroit wins and 71 of 84 appearances overall. That is a substantial record of playmaking holding up in Pistons victories, without requiring his scoring to carry the option. The price reflects the lower target: at −367, this is the most expensive selection here.

The nearby offers show what that cost buys. Eight assists pays −201, but cleared in 45 of those 59 wins and 62 of the 84 appearances. Seven therefore preserves seven additional winning-game clears. Six assists costs −750 and adds only two more clears in Detroit wins, reaching 54 of 59, with 75 of 84 overall. Seven sits between those prices and historical margins; the hit rate alone does not establish value at the quoted price.

His first six appearances this season provide both support and a timely warning. Cunningham recorded eight assists in each of the first four, then seven against Charlotte. He dropped to four in Friday’s win over Brooklyn while playing 28 minutes. Seven assists has consequently cleared in four of five Detroit wins and five of six appearances this season, rather than every current win.

The earlier Charlotte result landed exactly on seven in a 39-minute appearance. It supports this target as something Cunningham has achieved in the matchup, but leaves no spare assist at the line. Detroit can also win with fewer completed passes from its lead guard, as Brooklyn just showed. Back this route for Cunningham’s playmaking contribution, while recognizing that his teammates’ finishing and the length of his shift remain part of the bet.

Naz Reid: under 25.5 points, rebounds and assists (−107)

Reid’s combined production has stayed below 25.5 in all four Charlotte losses since he joined the club. Across all seven Hornets appearances, it has cleared the under only four times. That difference is the interesting part: his three Charlotte wins produced 38, 32 and 31 combined points, rebounds and assists, all above this target.

At −107, the combined under is the lighter-priced Reid option. It asks for at most 25 points, rebounds and assists in total, with no separate ceiling on any one category. His losing-game totals were 25 against Atlanta, 13 against Detroit, 24 against Washington and 21 against Philadelphia. Atlanta and Washington finished close to the limit, so the perfect four-loss record contains some close finishes.

The previous Detroit game needs particular care. Reid played just 13 minutes for his seven points, six rebounds and no assists. Monday’s case cannot assume another short appearance: he then played 31 minutes against Washington and 36 against Philadelphia, finishing with combined totals of 24 and 21. Those later losses provide support for the under across longer shifts, even as the sample remains only four defeats.

The saved morning snapshot also offers under 23.5 points and rebounds at −116. That version has the same four-of-four losing-game record and four-of-seven all-game record in Reid’s Charlotte sample. The 25.5 combined offer allows two more units but counts assists as well, and comes at a slightly lighter price. It isn’t simply a safer version of the same bet; Monday’s mix of scoring, boards and passing will decide which limit is easier to stay beneath.

Naz Reid: under 2.5 assists (−174)

The assist-only under has also cleared in all four Charlotte losses, but its broader baseline is stronger: six of seven Hornets appearances. Reid recorded two, zero, one and two assists in the defeats. He also stayed under with zero and one in two Charlotte wins, so this option is less dependent on him having a quiet scoring or rebounding night.

That broader coverage costs more at −174, compared with −107 for the combined under. Reid could score heavily or collect double-digit rebounds and still finish with no more than two assists. His win over Miami illustrates the distinction: 23 points and nine rebounds pushed him over the combined target, while zero assists kept the assist-only under intact.

The miss was emphatic rather than marginal. Reid supplied seven assists in Charlotte’s opening win over Brooklyn, playing 33 minutes. His latest two losses brought one assist in 31 minutes and two in 36, which helps separate the under from the earlier 13-minute Detroit appearance. It still takes only one additional completed scoring pass beyond Saturday’s two to lose the bet.

Use the two Reid markets as a choice about which contribution you want to limit. The combined under has matched the losing-game pattern at the lighter price, but failed in every Charlotte win so far. The assist under has survived two of those wins too, at a shorter price. Those seven appearances do not establish that either pattern will persist, and the two bets share Reid’s playing time.

Which contribution fits your Detroit-win view?

Cunningham’s seven-assist option offers the longer playmaking record, with the latest Brooklyn miss and a −367 price to weigh against it. Reid’s combined under ties more closely to Charlotte’s early losing games; his assist under covers more of his Hornets appearances overall. Choose the contribution that fits your view of the rematch rather than treating all three rows as a required parlay.

Detroit is without Jalen Duren, while Charlotte lists Kon Knueppel and Grant Williams out. Those absences matter when assessing the current rotations; the previous Detroit meeting alone does not fix Monday’s minutes. The historical records describe completed appearances and cannot be multiplied into a combined success probability.
