A Pistons win doesn’t have to come with double-digit assists from Cade Cunningham. In Detroit’s last victory, he handed out seven, Ausar Thompson added four and Duncan Robinson scored 24 points. If you’re backing Detroit against the Lakers, that leaves a few different ways to look for support.
These Pistons parlay picks consider Robinson over 15.5 points, Thompson for four assists and Cunningham under 9.5 assists. For this edition of Side & Support Parlay Plays, we compare each option in Detroit’s wins with all of that player’s Pistons appearances. The focus is this season’s start, with the less convincing longer records kept in view.
Pistons parlay picks: scoring and two passing options
The table covers current-season Detroit appearances from the start of the 2026–27 regular season. There are only five or six wins behind each option, so these are early patterns. Individual DraftKings prices were observed Sunday morning, November 8, and can change.

Duncan Robinson: Over 15.5 points
Robinson has been getting plenty of shots from outside: at least seven three-point attempts in every game this season, averaging 9.1 compared with 7.0 last regular season. His latest 27 points came on seven made threes against Philadelphia. Before that loss, he scored 24 in Detroit’s win over Charlotte.
Over 15.5 points cost −106 and needs a total of at least 16. The equivalent 16+ milestone was −107, while 15+ cost −133. All three covered the same five of Detroit’s six wins and six of his eight appearances overall this season: there hasn’t been a 15-point game for the lower target to recover.
Moving to 18+ paid +147 but would lose both of Robinson’s 17-point wins, against Miami and Brooklyn, leaving three of six wins and four of eight appearances overall. At the other end, 12+ cost −286 and covered all six wins and all eight appearances. That lower request picks up his 13-point game in the other Charlotte victory. Sixteen leaves you a much lighter individual price, while accepting that a useful night from Robinson can still finish short.
This scoring start is much stronger than his longer Detroit record. Across last season and this one, 16 points covered only 20 of 64 wins and 24 of 85 regular-season appearances overall. Last spring’s playoffs included winning nights of ten, twelve and fourteen points against Orlando. His current shooting volume makes the new season worth examining, but those older games argue against treating 16 as routine just because Detroit wins.
Ausar Thompson: 4+ assists
Thompson has supplied at least four assists in each of the five Detroit wins he’s appeared in this season. His latest winning total was exactly four against Charlotte. Before that, he had six against Brooklyn and eight in the earlier Charlotte win.
Four assists cost −190. At 5+ for +114, that latest four-assist win drops out, leaving four of five wins and four of seven appearances overall. Three assists was much more expensive at −479 and covered the same five victories as four, with six of seven appearances overall. The extra cost would recover one game overall, his three assists in the latest loss to Philadelphia.
That Philadelphia performance shows how Thompson can stay productive without reaching this passing target. He played 34 minutes and pulled down 17 rebounds, but finished with three assists. In the other loss, against New York, he had two. Playing a full role hasn’t guaranteed four.
The five-win record is also a new-season pattern, rather than a settled habit across his time in Detroit. Including last regular season, four assists covered 24 of 58 wins and 32 of 80 appearances overall. His playoff wins last spring included one assist against Orlando and two against Cleveland. Those games are separate from the table, but they give some perspective to a perfect record from five victories.
Cade Cunningham: Under 9.5 assists
Cunningham has stayed below ten assists in all six Detroit wins this season. His winning totals have ranged from four to eight, including seven in a 39-minute game against Charlotte. The under doesn’t require him to play little or have a poor night: he scored 30 in that game.
Under 9.5 cost −135. Over 9.5 and the 10+ milestone both paid +103, but neither covered a Detroit win in this season’s record; each reached just one of his eight appearances overall. The under leaves room for nine assists, one more than Cunningham recorded in any of those six victories.
The latest game is the counterexample to that pattern. He had eleven assists, 26 points and seven rebounds over 40 minutes in the loss to Philadelphia. That is his only double-digit assist total this season, and it came immediately before this matchup. Detroit is still without Jalen Duren because of his hamstring injury, with Paul Reed expected to replace him, so the frontcourt around Cunningham is part of the current context.
The longer history is a stronger warning than the perfect six-win start might suggest. Across last season and this one, the under covered only 23 of 53 Detroit wins and 34 of 72 regular-season appearances. Last spring’s playoff wins included eleven and twelve assists against Orlando. If you expect Cunningham to create that kind of night again, the early-season under is a poor fit for your view, even if you like Detroit to win.

Choose how you expect Detroit to get there
Robinson’s scoring target asks you to trust his busy start from outside. Thompson offers a smaller passing contribution, while Cunningham’s under leaves room for an effective game without ten assists. The two assist options describe different players in the same offense; their separate records don’t prove that combining them improves your chances. You can choose the route that fits your Pistons-win view without taking all three.
