Minnesota’s last win gave two very different three-point results: LaMelo Ball made four, while Ayo Dosunmu didn’t make one. Both fit a Timberwolves-win scenario against New Orleans. You don’t have to expect the same kind of shooting night from every Minnesota starter.
For these Timberwolves parlay picks, we compare Ball’s threes over, Dosunmu’s threes under and Jaden McDaniels’ rebounding in Minnesota wins with their records across all nine games this season. That puts a concrete choice behind Side & Support: start with Minnesota winning, then decide which of those player performances best matches your view of the game.
Timberwolves parlay picks: boards or three-point shooting
These are early-season Minnesota records, covering each player’s appearances in the 2026–27 regular season. Six wins give us a useful comparison, with the small sample and recent misses kept in view below.
| Player & prop | Odds | With this result | All games |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jaden McDaniels Over 5.5 rebounds |
−141 | 100.0% 6 of 6 MIN wins |
88.9% 8 of 9 appearances |
| LaMelo Ball Over 3.5 made threes |
−127 | 83.3% 5 of 6 MIN wins |
55.6% 5 of 9 appearances |
| Ayo Dosunmu Under 1.5 made threes |
+127 | 83.3% 5 of 6 MIN wins |
66.7% 6 of 9 appearances |
Jaden McDaniels: over 5.5 rebounds
McDaniels had eight rebounds in the win at Houston, but six has been the more familiar winning total: he finished there against Orlando, Toronto, the Clippers and Milwaukee. That’s enough for this line, though it leaves only one rebound between a hit and a miss. DraftKings’ −141 is the most expensive of these three options.
He’s also reached six in two Minnesota losses, so this is partly about his rebounding holding up across different results. The exception was San Antonio, where he had three boards despite playing 39 minutes. More floor time didn’t rescue that game.
The older Minnesota record is much less supportive. Across the previous and current regular seasons, McDaniels reached six rebounds in 18 of 50 wins and 29 of 82 appearances overall. Treat the recent run as something to assess in his current role, not an established long-term habit.
LaMelo Ball: over 3.5 made threes
Ball’s last three winning outings produced six threes against the Clippers, six against Milwaukee and four at Houston. Four is what this −127 offer needs, so the latest result cleared with no extra make to spare. His one miss in a Minnesota win came at Orlando: two threes in 23 minutes.
The losing games are a useful counterweight. Ball made one against Cleveland, two against Golden State and none in twenty minutes at San Antonio. That contrast explains why his shooting is interesting beside a Minnesota-win view, but it comes from just nine Timberwolves appearances.
Anthony Edwards is out following his knee procedure, and Donte DiVincenzo remains out with his Achilles injury. That’s relevant personnel context for Minnesota’s backcourt, rather than proof that Ball will make more shots.
Ayo Dosunmu: under 1.5 made threes
Dosunmu is the plus-money shooting choice at +127: you need him to finish with zero or one three. His last two wins landed on one against Milwaukee and zero at Houston, even though he played 37 and 34 minutes. He stayed below two makes through long nights on the floor.
There is a clear winning counterexample. Dosunmu made three threes against the Clippers, the same game in which Ball made six. A Minnesota win can support a good shooting night from both guards, so the two bets shouldn’t be treated as a neatly offsetting pair. Dosunmu also made three in the Golden State loss and two at San Antonio.
Across the previous and current regular seasons with Minnesota, he finished with zero or one three in 16 of 21 wins and 20 of 33 appearances overall. That longer winning record falls below this season’s five of six. The extra payout is worth comparing with Ball’s over, but it doesn’t establish that this is the better-priced bet.

Pick the contribution you want to back
McDaniels gives you a route through the boards if you’d rather avoid choosing who makes Minnesota’s threes. If you prefer the backcourt, Ball’s recent winning production supports the four-make target, while Dosunmu offers a plus-money way to allow for a quieter shooting night. They’re options to choose among; putting them together adds requirements on the same team’s performance.
