Vikings Parlay Picks vs. Lions: Side & Support Parlay Plays

Aaron Jones Sr. had twenty-five carries against New Orleans, then eight against Indianapolis. Minnesota won both games. That change matters if you’re backing the Vikings in Detroit: a modest carry requirement can still leave little room when Jordan Mason is sharing the work.

For a Minnesota win, these Vikings parlay picks give you three different contributions to consider: eight Jones carries, Jahmyr Gibbs staying Under 88.5 rushing yards or Sam LaPorta exceeding 42.5 receiving yards. Detroit can still produce through LaPorta even if Gibbs is held down on the ground. You can choose the part of that game you expect to see without taking all three.

Vikings parlay picks: work on the ground, chances through the air

The table covers games with each player’s current club from August 1, 2025 through October 31, 2026. Jones is measured in Vikings wins; Gibbs and LaPorta in Lions losses. Each all-game comparison covers the same dates and club, including every game in which the back had a carry or LaPorta drew a target.

These individual DraftKings prices were captured November 1 and can change. LaPorta’s five losing games are a particularly small sample. All six of Minnesota’s games this season have been wins, so Jones’ current winning record also describes his whole season.

Aaron Jones Sr. — 8+ carries (−117)

Eight carries has cleared in all twelve Minnesota wins in Jones’ eighteen rushing appearances across last season and this one. His six games this season have all cleared, too. The appeal is the modest workload demand, but his latest game shows just how modest his share can become.

Jones ran eight times for twenty-six yards in the 16–10 win over Indianapolis. Mason had fifteen carries for sixty-eight yards. Mason is listed first on the depth chart and Jones second, so the eight-carry option shouldn’t be read as a bet on Jones reclaiming the twenty-five attempts he had against New Orleans.

Both backs received work against Green Bay in the opener as well: Mason had fifteen carries and Jones twelve. Those two shared-workload games give Jones some support at eight without assuming he’ll dominate the backfield. The Indianapolis game also puts the risk in plain sight: one fewer carry would have left him short.

Ten carries is offered at +217. That price asks for more than Jones received against Indianapolis, and it has cleared nine of twelve Minnesota wins and ten of eighteen appearances overall. The other winning misses were an eight-carry game against Chicago and a nine-carry game at Detroit last season. The step from eight to ten costs three winning-game clears in this history.

Six carries is heavier at −353. It keeps the same twelve winning games and adds one clear overall, taking the total from fifteen of eighteen to sixteen of eighteen. That extra game was the six-carry loss at Seattle last November. The lower requirement would give you more protection against another reduced share, but it didn’t improve the winning column.

The older record spans different quarterback and backfield situations, so the current split deserves more weight than a perfect twelve-game column alone. Jones’ three misses at eight carries all came last season, with five, five and six attempts in losses. The latest eight is the useful number for this matchup: choose it if you expect Minnesota to leave Jones a regular part of the rotation, with Mason’s fifteen carries a reason to keep the target restrained.

Jahmyr Gibbs — Under 88.5 rushing yards (−110)

Gibbs has stayed below 88.5 rushing yards in all ten Detroit losses in this twenty-three-appearance history. That includes fifty-two yards on sixteen carries against Buffalo and forty-six on fifteen against Carolina, the Lions’ two defeats this season.

Those losing games fit the Minnesota-win premise, but Gibbs’ recent winning production is a substantial challenge. He ran for 151 yards against Arizona and 116 against Green Bay, handling twenty-five and twenty-nine carries. In fact, all four Detroit wins this season have taken him above this line. You’re choosing a different kind of game from those latest two outings, not relying on a back who has been quiet every week.

He’s listed first on Detroit’s running-back depth chart, with Sione Vaki second and Isiah Pacheco on injured reserve with a back injury. Nothing in that personnel picture supports assuming a reduced role before kickoff. The under needs his yardage to remain contained despite his position in the offense.

If you’d rather focus on opportunities, Under 21.5 carries is −123. It has also cleared all ten Detroit losses, but nineteen of twenty-three appearances overall, compared with fourteen of twenty-three for the yardage under. The carry limit has allowed more winning performances through, including the twenty-carry, ninety-nine-yard game against the Jets this season.

That’s a real distinction between the markets. Twenty carries could keep the attempts under while still giving Gibbs enough chances to exceed 88.5 yards. The rushing-yard under is slightly lighter at −110, but it asks you to contain his output as well as consider how much work Detroit gives him.

Use the yardage under if your Minnesota-win view includes limiting Detroit’s ground production. The carry under is the more expensive alternative if you’re focused on rushing opportunities. The current losing record is only two games; the ten-loss history adds context without making either request automatic.

Sam LaPorta — Over 42.5 receiving yards (−109)

A Detroit loss doesn’t require every Lion to struggle. LaPorta has exceeded 42.5 receiving yards in all five Lions losses among his fifteen target appearances across last season and this one. His two losing games this season brought fifty-two yards against Buffalo and eighty-four against Carolina.

The Carolina game supplied thirteen targets and eight catches. Buffalo supplied seven targets and six catches. Those are useful examples of how LaPorta can produce while Detroit loses, rather than an assumption that a Vikings win has to suppress both rushing and receiving production.

He also had eighty-eight yards on five targets in the win over Arizona. The latest Green Bay game went the other way: one catch for eighteen yards on two targets. He’s the expected first tight end with no current injury designation, but that two-target game shows that being in the starting role doesn’t guarantee enough chances for this line.

Fifty receiving yards is +135. It has cleared the same five losses but only eight of fifteen appearances overall, compared with ten of fifteen for Over 42.5. The two extra clears at the lower line were winning games this season: forty-eight yards against New Orleans and forty-four against the Jets. You’re paying to keep those totals, rather than to improve the small losing-game column.

Forty yards is available at −129. It cleared the same five losses and ten appearances overall as 42.5, so it costs more without adding a clear in this record. It offers a little more room on the next game’s yardage total, though past games don’t tell us whether those extra yards will matter.

LaPorta’s fifty-two-yard Buffalo game shows how close the higher target can become even with six catches. Choose 42.5 if you want that extra room; fifty offers the bigger payout while giving up the forty-four- and forty-eight-yard finishes. The five losing games don’t settle which price is better for the next one.

Pick the part of a Minnesota win you expect to see

Decide whether you want a small share of Minnesota’s rushing work or a view on Detroit’s response. Jones’ last game cleared eight carries by the narrowest margin. On the other side, the LaPorta option leaves room for Detroit to move the ball through the air even if its ground game is held down.

Choose the contribution that fits your game view. If you combine options with Minnesota to win, use the sportsbook’s actual same-game parlay quote; their separate records don’t establish a combined price or chance of clearing.
