Winnipeg’s earlier loss to Montreal offers a useful split for Canucks backers: Mark Scheifele took seven shots without recording a point, while Gabriel Vilardi finished with two shots and an assist. A quieter result on the scoresheet and a quieter night shooting are different things—even for teammates in the same defeat.
These Canucks parlay picks use that distinction to explore a Vancouver win. Side & Support looks at Winnipeg players in Jets losses, comparing Vilardi’s shots, Scheifele’s points and Kyle Connor’s assists with the prices available for each. You can choose the kind of limit that fits your view of Vancouver getting the result.

The table covers this season’s completed regular-season appearances with Winnipeg. Eleven Jets losses give these comparisons some recent context, but each player’s longer record tells a different story.
Gabriel Vilardi — Under 2.5 shots on goal (−165)
Vilardi can record a point and still finish below three shots. He did exactly that in the October 25 loss to Montreal, with two shots and an assist. His more recent defeats brought zero shots against Tampa Bay, one against Florida and two against Carolina. At −165, this option puts a ceiling on his official shots on goal while leaving room for a scoring contribution.
The exception came in the October 27 loss to Florida, when he took three shots despite going scoreless. That’s the risk of treating Winnipeg’s result as a shortcut to his shooting volume. He also took three shots in the latest Montreal win, when he played 25:14 and recorded an assist. His expected first-line role gives him plenty of opportunity to go over this number.
Of the three options here, Vilardi’s has the more consistent longer record. From October 1, 2025, through the same cutoff, he stayed below three shots in 48 of 58 Jets losses and 74 of 98 appearances overall. His under 0.5 points was +135 on the same board, but that would require no goal or assist at all. The shot under costs more and makes a different request.
Mark Scheifele — Under 1.5 points (−185)
Scheifele’s under allows one goal or assist, provided he doesn’t reach two points. That leaves more room for him to contribute than a scoreless-night bet. He had one assist in the recent loss at Florida and no points in the Carolina defeat, when he still took four shots. If you expect Vancouver to limit Winnipeg’s scoring without shutting down every chance, this is one way to express that view.
The Tampa Bay loss is the important counterexample: Scheifele recorded three assists. Winnipeg lost 6–4, but a productive passing night put him above today’s point limit. He followed the later losses with two assists in the latest win at Montreal, another reminder of the production available from the expected first-line center.
The current 10-for-11 losing-game record is stronger than his longer history. Since October 1, 2025, he finished below two points in 45 of 58 Jets losses, against 59 of 98 appearances overall—below 80% in the losing games. At −185, you’re paying more than for Vilardi’s shot under, and a Jets defeat alone hasn’t consistently been enough to keep Scheifele below two points over that larger sample.
Kyle Connor — Under 0.5 assists (−105)
Connor’s assist under is the lightest price here, and it leaves his goal scoring unrestricted. He scored in the recent loss at Florida without recording an assist. More strikingly, his latest game brought two goals and eight shots in the Montreal win, still with no assist. You can use this market without needing every part of his offensive game to stay quiet.
That’s a narrower restriction than his under 1.5 points at −200, which would have lost on those two Montreal goals. At −105, you pay less to leave his goal scoring open, but even one assist misses this target; the points under allows one assist if he doesn’t score. He went without an assist in nine of 11 Jets losses this season; the misses came against Boston and Tampa Bay, with one assist in each.
His older record calls for restraint. From October 1, 2025, he went without an assist in 38 of 58 Jets losses and 52 of 98 appearances overall. The recent pattern is stronger, but the longer losing-game record is far from a dependable rule. Connor is listed on the same expected first line as Scheifele and Vilardi, so these options share scoring opportunities rather than giving you three independent angles.

Choose what you expect Vancouver to limit
Vilardi’s shot under has the steadier longer record if your concern is Winnipeg’s shooting volume. Scheifele’s points under lets him contribute once but asks him to stop short of a multi-point night. Connor’s assist under has the lighter price and allows goals, making it a different choice from backing a broadly quiet Winnipeg attack.
You don’t need to use all three, and their separate historical rates don’t establish a combined parlay probability. Follow the Canucks–Jets live matchup as the game approaches, or explore more NHL parlay ideas.
